About us

We’re a group of volunteers who have taken first aid to a new level. We have significant hands-on experience of a very wide range of injury and illness, guided by our trustees whose professional skills include nursing, ambulance services, pharmacy and medicine. Most of our members are separately qualified to give oxygen, manage spinal injuries and offer pain relief. We can look after patients for anything up to 4 hours, by making accurate clinical observations which help us to decide whether escalation is appropriate.
We deploy those skills within a radius of about 100 miles from our base in Burntisland. We support a very wide range of equestrian, student and endurance events, as well as motor sport and community galas.
Our 4x4 ambulance was purpose-designed for us and enables us to give a versatile response in circumstances which are sometimes challenging.
Naturally, we welcome inquiries not only from potential clients but also from potential volunteers. If you are already qualified at the level of First Aid at Work or above we’d be happy to hear from you. All of our volunteers are registered as PVG members with Disclosure Scotland, so our clients can be confident that adults and children who may be vulnerable will be in safe hands.
